Show #1: Introductions

by Peter Beck on December 1, 2006

in PODCASTS

The basic premise: for anyone super busy in general, but for medical professionals who want to create their own podcasts in particular, PMP will help you get that “pro sound” quickly, while streamlining your production process, so your podcasting can reflect your life experience, instead of you living to create your podcasts.

I’ve closely patterned MedSqod after its “parent” podcast, PodSqod, from Studio1A Productions, hosted and managed by Mark Jensen. Mark in fact will be a recurring guest interviewee, and will bring to bear his years of broadcast radio and audio engineering background to improve your sound and smooth your flow.

I go into my own background as a physician, how I came to podcasting, and the niche I perceived as underserved in the medical end of the podosphere - and how PMP can help you fill that niche, to the benefit of you and your patients.

Comments and questions are encouraged — nay, demanded! The more the merrier, and I promise to address your concerns in future shows.

I’m working as I type at getting a redone version of this ready for prime time - the audio actually sounds pretty cruddy if you listen via headphones or earbuds.

I made the classic newbie error of not checking out the final product before posting, then compounding it by deleting the original file :( The mp3 converting step introduced some audio warbly artifact, and I just assumed that the conversion would be AOK, so didn’t listen to the final result pre-posting.
