…or more accurately, “to make friends, influence people, and make more money.” But MMM is more compact.

Even if monetizing your podcast is unimportant, you will learn more about equipment choices, show planning, communicating effectively with your listeners, and getting your message heard, by looking through the lens of a marketing mindset, than through almost any other means.

Today’s show is only a taste of what can be a vast yet exciting topic. For medpros especially - or anyone who feels locked in “the box” of putting in their time, nose to the grindstone, and wondering why they’re slipping behind with their finances, family time, and social/political contacts - it outlines some basic principles on how to get out of that box, which will be explored more fully in future shows.

This will be one of the few times that I recommend taking some time away from direct podcasting or show preparation, in the interest of a more long term benefit. Whether it’s to garner more income for your practice, produce a tighter sounding show, or better educate your patients, the first step is to think more creatively and expansively, yet more pragmatically as well. Entrepreneurs excel at that, and lessons from them apply immediately to podcasting, for medical and busy non-medical purposes.
